Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Seth Curry is out indefinitely with a stress reaction of his left tibia, the team announced Saturday.
Curry, 27, is coming off a career year and was expected to start alongside rookie Dennis Smith Jr. in the Mavs’ backcourt. He averaged 12.8 points and shot 48 percent from the field in 70 games — including 42.5 percent on 3-pointers.
“Last season marked the first time that Curry had a legitimate opportunity to prove himself as an NBA rotation player,” ESPN noted. “He had brief stints with the Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings before arriving in Dallas.”
