Former NBA standout and current G League coach Jerry Stackhouse has interviewed for the Toronto Raptors’ vacancy, according to Yahoo Sports.
He interviewed for the job Friday, per the report.
Stackhouse coached the Raptors’ minor league affiliate to the G League championship series in each of his first two seasons. His Raptors 905 club lost to the Austin Spurs this year but won the title in 2017.
Stackhouse played for eight different teams from 1995-2013, making the All-Star team twice.
The Raptors are looking to replace Dwane Casey, fired after seven seasons following a sweep vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Along with Stackhouse, the Raptors are also said to be considering assistant coaches Nick Nurse and Rex Kalamian for the position.
