The Utah Jazz have hired David Morway and Justin Zanik as assistant general managers, the team announced Wednesday.
Along with those hires, the Jazz promoted Steven Schwartz to director of basketball operations. Dennis Lindsey is the Jazz’s GM.
Morway spent 14 seasons in a front office role with the Indiana Pacers, and has also held down an assistant GM job with the Milwaukee Bucks. He spent last season as a consultant with the Jazz.
Zanik is a spent last season as assistant GM with the Bucks and was reportedly in the running for their GM position this offseason. He parted ways with the organization after losing out on the job. He was an assistant GM for the Jazz from 2013-16.
Schwartz is entering his third year with Utah and previously served as a basketball operations assistant to coach Quinn Snyder.
Schwartz also assisted Lindsey with the league’s collective bargaining agreement and salary cap, “responsibilities he will now continue in an expanded role,” the Jazz announced.
