The Utah Jazz have intend to sign G-League forward Georges Niang to a two-way contract, according to a report from 2 Ways & 10 Days.
Niang is 6-foot-8 and has been playing with the Santa Cruz Warriors since the start of the G-League season. He attended training camp with the Golden State Warriors but was cut in October.
Niang, 24, appeared in 23 games for the Indiana Pacers last season, compiling a total of 21 points and 17 rebounds in 93 minutes
Originally drafted by the Pacers in the second round (No. 50 overall) in 2016, Niang averaged 19.0 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 33.0 minutes over six games with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the G League last season.
“Utah currently has a full roster with Naz Mitrou-Long and Erik McCree holding the team’s two-way contracts, so a move will have to be made before Niang can be added,” Hoops Rumors noted.
