Indiana Pacers forward Glenn Robinson III will undergo surgery on his left ankle and is expected to be sidelined until mid-December, according to a report from ESPN.
Robinson suffered the injury during a scrimmage at practice on the first day of training camp.
Per ESPN: “The Pacers consider Robinson, 23, a key part of the franchise’s rebuild and plan a prominent role for him in the post-Paul George era.”
Robinson averaged a career-high 6.1 points and 3.6 rebounds in 20 minutes per game last season, shooting 39 percent on 3-pointers. He is the NBA’s reigning Slam Dunk Contest champion.
