NBA Season Preview: Golden State Warriors

Steph Curry and the Warriors aim to bounce back from last season's finals meltdown.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS

Camp Location: Warriors Practice Facility, Oakland.

Coach: Steve Kerr, two years, 140-24.

Last Season: 73-9, lost to Cleveland in NBA Finals.

Key Returnees: Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, Kevon Looney, James Michael McAdoo, Anderson Varejao.

Key Additions: Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City), Zaza Pachulia (Dallas), David West (San Antonio), JaVale McGee (Dallas).

Key Losses: Harrison Barnes (Dallas), Leandro Barbosa (Phoenix), Andrew Bogut (Dallas), Festus Ezeli (Portland), Marresse Speights (LA Clippers), Brandon Rush (Minnesota).

Outlook: The Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals. Kevin Durant and Oklahoma City blew a 3-1 lead in the West finals before that. So are Durant and the Warriors a marriage in blown 3-1 lead heaven? Well, the rest of the league can only hope. Reality is, adding Durant to Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green is a downright frightening proposition. Clearly, the Warriors are less concerned with the regular season, willing to go throw some growing pains, with the idea of being at their best in June. They no longer have the depth of their past two runs, but they still have an outstanding coach in Steve Kerr. And even more star power. Will it work? Well, it sure will be intriguing to find out.
