OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
Camp Location: Thunder Development Center, Oklahoma City.
Coach: Billy Donovan, one year, 55-27.
Last Season: 55-27, lost to Golden State in Western Conference finals.
Key Returnees: Russell Westbrook, Steven Adams, Enes Kanter, Anthony Morrow, Cameron Payne, Andre Roberson, Kyle Singler, Nick Collison.
Key Additions: Victor Oladipo (Orlando), Ersan Ilyasova (Orlando), Domantas Sabonis (rookie, Gonzaga), Alex Abrines (Spain).
Key Losses: Kevin Durant (Golden State), Serge Ibaka (Orlando), Dion Waiters (Miami), Randy Foye (Brooklyn), Nazr Mohammed.
Outlook: This is the story of a team that was on the brink of the NBA Finals, and is now the league’s best example of a one-man show. The good news? That one man is Russell Westbrook and he may be even better than the guy who left (some Durant character). The bad news? Outside of the promise of Victor Oladipo, Westbrook doesn’t really have much help. You know some of the names, and you know what they can do: Enes Kanter, Ersan Ilyasova, Steven Adams, Andre Roberson. Nice players. But are they the kind of guys who can offer Westbrook and coach Billy Donovan reason to believe in good things? Well, guess we’re about to find out, aren’t we?
