Outlook: For all the talk about this Sixers’ upside, it can be hard to remember that they won just 10 games last season. Ten games. Out of 82. Read: This is a team that is light years away. But yes, there is hope. Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Nerlens Noel, Jahlil Okafor and Dario Saric are all tall and show lots of promise. How or why the Sixers can/will keep them all is anyone’s guess … but still. Potential is a good problem. Nor is there any doubt about the coach, as Brett Brown stays upbeat and keeps his guys playing hard. The backcourt is a different story. The Sixers still need lots of help there. Like, gobs. So will they be close to good? Not yet. Will they be worth following anyway? Well, yes. Any collection of young talents big men should be considered intriguing.
