NBA Summer League schedule announced

The 2017 NBA Summer League schedule was released Thursday and features some intriguing matchups to tip off the action.

An opening weekend showdown between the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers will feature the top two draft picks going head-to-head on Saturday, July 8 at 8:30 pm ET. The game will be televised on ESPN.

A record 24 NBA teams will take part in the Summer League and all 67 games from Las Vegas will be presented by ESPN (35 on ESPN, ESPN 2 or ESPNU and all games streamed on Watch ESPN). NBA TV will air 28 games, as well.

It all starts on Friday, July 7, when the Toronto Raptors face the New Orleans Pelicans at 6 pm ET.
