The Denver Nuggets and free-agent guard Will Barton are trying to get a deal worked out before the free-agency period begins tonight at 12:01 a.m., according to a report.
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported the team and the sharpshooting guard have “strong momentum” in getting getting a contract worked out.

Barton, 28, helped the Nuggets to remain in the playoff hunt to the finish line last season, averaging career highs in points (15.7), rebounds (5.0) and assists (4.1) in 33.1 minutes per game. He played in 81 games, starting 40, and shot 45.2 percent from the field and 37.0 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.
