The Cleveland Cavaliers have spoken to free agent guard David Nwaba, according to a report from Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com.
The Chicago Bulls rescinded the qualifying offer on Nwaba, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Per the report, Nwaba has interest in joining the Cavs. The 25-year-old appeared in 70 games this past season for the Bulls and averaged 7.9 points, 4.7 assists and 1.5 assists, shooting 47.8 percent from the field and 34.6 percent from three.
The 6-foot-4, 209-pound Nwaba has played 90 career games in the NBA with the Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers. He holds averages of 7.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
The Lakers and San Antonio Spurs have reached out to Nwaba as well, according to David Aldridge of NBA.com.
