Oklahoma City forward Patrick Patterson has decided to pick up his $5.7 million player option for the 2019-20 season, according to Shams Charania of Stadium.

Patterson, 30, averaged 3.6 points and 2.3 rebounds in 13.7 minutes in 63 games (5 starts) for the Thunder this season, shooting 37.4 percent from the field, 33.6 percent from three and 63.3 percent from the free-throw line.
The 6-foot-9, 230-pound Patterson — the 14th overall pick of the 2010 draft by the Houston Rockets out of Kentucky — carries career averages of 6.9 points, 4.1 rebounds an 1.1 assists in 21.8 minutes in 622 games (81 starts), with a shooting line of 45.0/36.7/74.9.
Patterson has played for the Sacramento Kings and the Toronto Raptors in addition to the Thunder and the Rockets in his eight-year NBA career.
