Pelicans’ Davis leaves game after blow to head

Anthony Davis of the Pelicans and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Bucks went at it for four quarters -- plus -- Sunday in Milwaukee.

New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis left Friday’s game against the Denver Nuggets after taking a hit to his head in the third quarter.

Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic banged his head into Davis’ and the Pelicans franchise player went to the locker room and entered the concussion protocol.

Davis entered the night averaging 25.6 points and 11.4 rebounds while shooting 56.3 percent from the field.
