Pelicans ink Lemon Jr. to second 10-day contract

Walt Lemon Jr. has signed a second 10-day deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.

The New Orleans Pelicans have signed Walt Lemon Jr. to a second 10-day contract, according to the team.

Lemon played 14 minutes over the course of three games on his first 10-day deal for the Pelicans, making 2-of-6 shots from the floor.

The point guard was having a big season for the G League Fort Wayne Mad Ants this season, averaging 22.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2.1 steals per game, shooting 49.0 percent from the field.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Lemon went undrafted out of Bradley University in 2014 and before hooking up with Fort Wayne, played internationally in Hungary, Germany and Greece.
