Poll: Who will be East’s top seed entering playoffs?

Kawhi Leonard and the Raptors have been at or near the top of the Eastern Conference all season.

While the Cleveland Cavaliers rarely held down the first seed in the regular season, there was never any doubt they were always the Eastern Conference team to beat during the most recent LeBron James era.

That era is over.

Now, it appears the race to the No. 1 seed is wide open. And who knows? It may stretch out until the final week.

The Toronto Raptors, Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers and unsung Indiana Pacers are right there, waiting to take the top spot and perhaps hold on to it for good.

A lot can happen between now and the middle of April when the regular season ends.

Injuries almost always play a role in how things go — just ask the poor Pacers, who lost star guard Victor Oladipo for the season.

The trade deadline is Feb. 7, so improvements can still be made. And sometimes, things such as chemistry and trips to the West Coast can be the difference between first, and somewhere closer to worst.

And if not worst, the loss of home-court advantage in the first round.

Either way, the race for Eastern beast is a lot closer and a lot more unpredictable now that James is in the West.

So who will be No. 1 heading into the playoffs? Cast your vote in the poll below and let us know your thoughts at the bottom of this post.
