Preview: Charge hit road to face Energy

Joe Harris scored 15 points in the Charge's loss Tuesday.

Coach Jordi Fernandez and the Canton Charge are desperate for a win and this will be a tough place to get it.

That’s because the Charge head to Iowa to face the Energy on Wednesday — the same Energy that blitzed the Charge last weekend in Canton.

This time, the Charge (2-6) will be without the services of Tim Hardaway Jr., a former first-round draft pick who was sent to Canton by the Hawks. Hardaway Jr. and Hawks center Edy Tavares have since been recalled by their NBA club.

The Charge do still have Joe Harris from the Cavaliers, as well as rookies Quinn Cook and Sir’Dominic Pointer, along with forward Nick Minnerath.

They will need all of them and more if they are to slow the Energy (5-2) on their own floor.

Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. EST and can be viewed on the D-League YouTube channel.
