Raptors confident Leonard will take and pass physical

The Toronto Raptors are confident Kawhi Leonard will take and pass his physical with the club, according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca.

The Raptors have been in contact with Leonard and his camp since the trade with the San Antonio Spurs became official and talks have been positive so far.

There is no indication that Leonard will holdout or not come to training camp. The Raptors can fine Leonard for every practice and game he misses and it wouldn’t be a good look for the two-time Defensive Player of the Year.

Leonard will be an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2019 and is not expected to stay in Toronto. Leonard reportedly wants to be in Los Angeles and has already reached out to some other NBA stars and discussed the idea of teaming up in 2019.
