The Toronto Raptors have exercised the fourth-year option on the rookie-scale contract option of forward OG Anunoby, the team announced in a news release.
He is now signed through the 2020-21 and locked in at a little more than $3.8 million for that season.
Anunoby, 22, is entering his third year and averaged 7.1 points and 2.9 rebounds in 67 games last season. He was selected with the No. 23 overall pick in 2017.
Anunoby is 6-foot-8 and did not make an appearance during the Raptors’ run to the championship — as he underwent an appendectomy shortly before the playoffs.
The Raptors are hopeful he will help overcome the departure of Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard at forward.
