The Toronto Raptors have suspended power forward Serge Ibaka one game for violating team rules, the team announced Friday.
Ibaka got into an altercation with a staff member following Wednesday’s road loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. He will miss Friday’s game versus the Atlanta Hawks.
“Both parties have apologized,” Raptors president Masai Ujiri said. “We’ve discussed this internally as a team, and we won’t be discussing it any further. Now we’re focused on moving forward together, and we look forward to having Serge back in the lineup.”
On the season, Ibaka is averaging 13.8 points and 6.0 rebounds while shooting 50.5 percent from the field and 38.9 percent from three.
