CHICAGO — The Chicago Bulls finally traded stretch forward Nikola Mirotic to the New Orleans Pelicans Thursday, but this could be just the start for them with the Feb. 8 trade deadline approaching.
According to a report from the Chicago Tribune, the Bulls remain extremely active in trade talks and are expected to make at least one more move.
The Chicago Sun-Times previously reported that the Bulls are shopping center Robin Lopez and guard Justin Holiday.
The Bulls are trying to acquire as many draft picks as possible and shed any large contracts they have.
“League sources said the Bulls remain extremely active in trade talks. Tellingly, when asked about waiving players, [executive vice president] John Paxson said a week remains until the Feb. 8 deadline. That suggests one could be used in another deal.”
