New Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Isaiah Thomas is terminating his contract with Excel Sports Management and is in the process of finding a new agency to represent him, according to a report by ESPN.
Thomas becomes a free agent in the summer of 2018 and will surely be looking for a max contract.

Now whether Thomas will receive a max offer all depends on how he performs this year in Cleveland.
The 5-foot-9 scorer averaged 28.9 points per game last season with the Boston Celtics, but the labrum tear he’s dealing with in his hip and his decision to forgo surgery could impact Thomas’ level of production with the Cavs.
The Cavs are set to introduce Thomas, along with the other players they got in the Kyrie Irving trade at a Thursday press conference.
