The Boston Celtics have expressed interest in drafting University of Texas center Mo Bamba in the 2018 draft, according to a report from Sporting News.
The Celtics currently hold the No. 27th pick and would need to trade up into the lottery to select the talented Bamba.
The big man averaged 12.9 points, 10.5 rebounds during this past college season, shooting 54.1 percent from the field.
Draft experts have Bamba going as high as No. 3 overall to the Atlanta Hawks.
Celtics general manager Danny Ainge has never been shy in his offseason moves, but to move up in the draft and acquire Bamba, he might have to part ways with one of his young assets such as Jaylen Brown or Terry Rozier.
