Report: Hawks interview Sixers assistant Pierce

Lloyd Pierce has been an assistant with the 76ers since 2013.

The Atlanta Hawks have interviewed Philadelphia 76ers assistant Lloyd Pierce for their head coaching vacancy, according to ESPN.

Pierce has been an assistant on Brett Brown’s staff since 2013. Prior to that he was an assistant with the Memphis Grizzlies (2011-13), Golden State Warriors (2010-11) and Cleveland Cavaliers (2007-10). He also spent four seasons as an assistant coach with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League.

The Hawks parted ways with coach Mike Budenholzer after the season.

As first reported by Amico Hoops, Boston Celtics assistant Jay Larranaga has also interviewed for the Hawks’ coaching job.
