Noel was traded to the Mavericks at this year’s trade deadline by the Philadelphia 76ers. In 22 games with Dallas, he averaged 8.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game while hitting 57.5 percent of his shots from the field.
If another team offers Noel a contract, the Mavericks will have 15 days to match the deal.
ESPN previously reported that the Mavs want to build around their young core and that includes having Noel in the picture.
