Report: Noel receiving interest from several teams

Mavericks center Nerlens Noel continues to search for a new contract.

Nerlens Noel is a restricted free agent this summer and he is expected to receive interest from several teams, according to a report by ESPN.

Noel will reportedly not limit his talks just with the Dallas Mavericks, who are prioritizing re-signing the athletic big man.

Noel was traded to the Mavericks at this year’s trade deadline by the Philadelphia 76ers. In 22 games with Dallas, he averaged 8.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game while hitting 57.5 percent of his shots from the field.

If another team offers Noel a contract, the Mavericks will have 15 days to match the deal.

ESPN previously reported that the Mavs want to build around their young core and that includes having Noel in the picture.
