Despite missing the postseason for the first time since 2011, Doc Rivers is expected to return as coach of the Los Angeles Clippers — according to a report from NBA.com.
The Clippers finished the season with a record of 42-40, good for 10th place in the rugged Western Conference.
The team lost point guard Chris Paul in the offseason and then traded forward Blake Griffin at the February trade deadline.
Rivers became coach of the Clippers in 2013 and has compiled a regular season record of 259-151. He has a playoff record of just 18-22.
