Rockets’ Paul day-to-day with adductor strain

Houston Rockets guard Chris Paul left Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers with an adductor strain and did not return.

At first, people thought Paul hurt his left knee again and was going to miss a significant amount of time.

Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni, however, told reporters Thursday Paul is day-to-day.

Paul has started 16 games this season and is averaging 17.1 points and 9.0 assists while shooting 47.7 percent from the floor and 40.8 percent from three.

Wednesday’s loss to the Lakers was the first time all year the Rockets lost a game in which Paul played.
