The Houston Rockets have signed guards Shamorie Ponds, Chris Clemons and William McDowell-White to Exhibit 10 contracts, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.
All three players are rookies who went undrafted and are playing for the Rockets’ summer team. In the event they don’t make the final roster in the fall, they will likely be headed to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Houston’s affiliate in the G League.
Ponds is 6-foot-1 and averaged 19.7 points and 5.1 assists in 33 games as a junior last season. Some mock drafts had him projected as a late first-round pick midway through the college basketball season.
Clemons is 5-9 and led the nation in scoring at 30.0 points per game last season at Campbell. He shot 45 percent from the floor.
And McDowell-White is 6-5 and became draft eligible after playing in Australia and Germany.
