Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid has been held out of the previous two games while battling a back injury and could miss two more games this week, according to a report by ESPN.
Embiid, however, is likely to return for the Christmas Day meeting against the New York Knicks, per ESPN.
The 7-footer is averaging 24.1 points and 11.0 rebounds on the season while shooting 49.0 percent from the field.
The Sixers have lost six of the seven games that Embiid has sat out. After a hot start to the year, Philadelphia are now 14-16, sitting at the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference.
