Sixers give Brett Brown three-year extension

The Philadelphia 76ers and coach Brett Brown have agreed to a three-year contract extension, according to a report from ESPN.

Brown had one year left on his existing contract. He is now signed through the 2021-2022 season.

The Sixers made the playoffs this season behind rookie Ben Simmons and rising star Joel Embiid. They compiled a regular-season record of 52-30, defeated the Miami Heat in the first-round of the playoffs, but lost to the Boston Celtics in the second-round.

Brown has been with the Sixers since 2013. Philadelphia was rebuilding during Brown’s first four seasons so his record isn’t all that great. He’s 127-283.
