The Philadelphia 76ers have signed free-agent center Norvel Pelle, according to the team.

Pelle played for the Sixers’ squad in the Las Vegas Summer League last month, averaging 7.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and a team-high 1.2 blocked shots in 13.8 minutes in five games.
Pelle played last season for Auxilium Pallacanestro Torino and Pallacanestro Varese of Italy’s Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). In 29 games (11 starts), he averaged 6.1 points, 4.3 boards and 1.0 rejections in 14.6 minutes for the two squads.

He spent the 2016-17 season playing for Verese, having begun his international professional career with Homenetmen Beirut B.C. of the Lebanese Basketball League Division A the previous season.
Pelle, a native of Antigua and Barbuda, played with the 76ers’ G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, from 2013-15. In those two seasons, he averaged 5.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 12.8 minutes in 39 games (6 starts).
He has played overseas in Italy, Lebanon and Taiwan, also playing for the Lebanese national team.
