Sloan agrees to contract with Wizards

Donald Sloan has played for five teams in five NBA seasons.

The Washington Wizards have reached a one-year contract agreement with journeyman point guard Donald Sloan, according to a report from The Vertical.

Sloan, 29, spent last season in China. He has served stints with five teams in five NBA seasons dating back to 2011 — the Atlanta Hawks, New Orleans Pelicans, Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets.

He is known for his unselfish and gritty play, with scouts often referring to the former boxer as a “physical point guard.”

Sloan has compiled career averages of 5.5 points and 3.0 assists in 17 minutes per game. Along with his NBA and overseas runs, hespent time in the G-League with the Reno Bighorns, Sioux Falls Skyforce and Erie BayHawks.
