Free agent center Hasheem Thabeet will work out for the Milwaukee Bucks a second time, a source told Ben Stinar of Amico Hoops.
Thabeet’s next audition will take place Sunday through Thursday of next week, Stinar reported. Thabeet also worked out for the Bucks during the second week of August. The New York Knicks brought him a couple weeks after that.
Thabeet, 32, is 7-foot-3 and was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies with the No. 2 overall pick in 2009. He has also spent time with the Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers, and last played in the NBA with the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2013-14.
“Thabeet spent this past year transforming his body and he has heard from multiple NBA teams that he is in great shape,” Stinar reported.
Thabeet carries NBA career averages of 2.2 points and 2.7 rebounds. He has also played in the G-League (Grand Rapids Drive) and in Japan.
The Bucks currently have Brook Lopez, Robin Lopez and former No. 4 overall pick Dragan Bender at center.
