Though Will Barton is said to be close to re-signing with the Denver Nuggets, that hasn’t stopped the Indiana Pacers from pursuing the sharpshooting swingman.
Sources tell Amico Hoops founder and senior writer Sam Amico that Pacers president of basketball operations Kevin Pritchard and general manager Chad Buchanan are meeting with Barton in Baltimore.
Barton, 28, helped the Nuggets to remain in the playoff hunt to the finish line last season, averaging career highs in points (15.7), rebounds (5.0) and assists (4.1) in 33.1 minutes per game. He played in 81 games, starting 40, and shot 45.2 percent from the field and 37.0 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.
