Spurs exercise options on Murray, Poeltl, White

Spurs guard Dejounte Murray became the youngest player in history to be named to an All-Defensive team last season.

The San Antonio Spurs have exercised their fourth-year team options on guard Dejounte Murray and center Jakob Poeltel, as well as the third-year option on Derrick White, the team said Thursday.

Murray is entering his third season and was named NBA second-team All-Defense last season. He has compiled averages of 6.6 points and 4.2 rebounds during his career.

Poeltl was acquired from the Toronto Raptors over the summer. The former No. 9 overall draft pick (2016) averaged 6.9 points and 4.8 rebounds last season.

White appeared in 17 games with the Spurs last season as a rookie. He averaged 3.2 points in the NBA, while also helping to lead the Austin Spurs to the G-League title.
