San Antonio Spurs small forward Rudy Gay has bursitis in his right heel and will miss the next two weeks, according to the team.
Gay left Thursday’s game versus the New York Knicks and was in a walking boot. An MRI Friday revealed Gay has right retrocalcaneal bursitis.
The veteran swingman has started a rest and rehabilitation program and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, per the Spurs.
Gay, 31, is in his first season with the Spurs and averaging 11.5 points while shooting 47.6 percent from the field.
