Stephen A. Smith: ‘Cavaliers should trade Kevin Love’

Kevin Love of the Cavaliers should feel as if he's "in heaven" with the broken hand that will sideline him, says Stephen A. Smith.

The now widely reported team meeting the Cleveland Cavaliers held at practice Monday has resulted in reports coming out that Kevin Love was a “target” of his teammates.

Love left the 148-124 loss to Oklahoma City on Saturday after three minutes because of illness and was excused from practice Sunday because of the same illness.

Some of his teammates, apparently, were bothered by it and went as far as to question Love’s commitment to the team.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith said on First Take the Cavaliers should trade Love, but not because of his reputed lack of commitment to the team:

Tom Withers of the Associated Press said on his Twitter account Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue backed Love in regards to his illness.

Cleveland (27-18) plays at San Antonio on Tuesday night.

  1. Stephen A Smith likes to start trouble. If anything seeing the cavs without love in the OKC game, we see how badly they need him. IT is a liability on defense, it’s pretty awful to watch.
