Warriors’ Curry sprains ankle; will have MRI Tuesday

Stephen Curry has a history of ankle ailments.

Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry rolled his right ankle Monday night against the New Orleans Pelicans and was forced to exit the game.

The Warriors announced Curry suffered a sprained right ankle. X-Rays were negative on Curry’s ankle and he will undergo an MRI on Tuesday.

Curry, a two-time MVP, is averaging 26.1 points and 6.4 assists on the season while shooting 47.3 percent from the field and 37.7 percent from three.

The Warriors defeated the Pelicans, 125-115, to improve to 19-6.
