The Phoenix Suns and Detroit Pistons held trade discussions centered around point guard Eric Bledsoe, but talks are now dead, as the Suns turned down the Pistons’ proposal — according to multiple reports.
Detroit offered a package including point guard Reggie Jackson and a first-round pick for Bledsoe, according to Basketball Insiders.
Sports Illustrated is adding that the New Orleans Pelicans were the third team involved in today’s Bledsoe-to-Detroit chatters.
If the deal had gone through, Bledsoe would have ended up in Detroit, with Jackson landing in New Orleans, according to Sports Illustrated’s report.
Bledsoe has made it known he doesn’t want to play for the Suns anymore and not been around the team since his Twitter outburst.
Suns general Ryan McDonough told the Arizona Republic that while trade talks have been fluid, the team won’t rush into a deal just to move the disgruntled Bledsoe.
Phoenix is also reportedly attempting to include veteran center Tyson Chandler in their discussed Bledsoe trade scenarios.
