The Phoenix Suns will sign power forward Ray Spalding for the remainder of this season and with a partial guarantee for next season, the team announced in a press release.
The agreement comes as Spalding’s 10-day deal with Phoenix is about to expire. He has yet to play for the Suns, having gotten into one game with the Dallas Mavericks in January.
The 56th overall pick of the 2018 draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, Spalding, 21, was released by Dallas when it needed a roster spot after trading for Kristaps Porzingis. In the G League, the former University of Louisville star averaged 15.6 points, 9.3 boards and 2.2 blocked shots for the Texas Legends.
