Several teams have reached out to the Boston Celtics inquiring about a possible sign-and-trade scenario involving guard Marcus Smart, according to a report from Yahoo Sports.
Smart is a restricted free agent. Other than basic pleasantries during a Summer League game on Monday, Smart has yet to hear from the Celtics since free agency began on July 1 and the rugged defender is frustrated with the lack of outreach from the team.

Smart averaged 10.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists during the regular season. He underwent surgery in March for a torn ligament in his right thumb which limited his shooting ability during the playoffs.
According to a report from the Boston Globe, Smart is open to signing a multiyear deal for less than $15 million per season.
“The fans should understand that Marcus is not asking for a crazy amount,” Smart’s agent Happy Walters told the Boston Herald.
