Thunder’s Anthony out Sunday with sore back

Carmelo Anthony is in his first season with the Thunder.

Oklahoma City Thunder small forward Carmelo Anthony will miss tonight’s game against the Dallas Mavericks due to a sore back, the team announced.

The Thunder don’t play again until Wednesday, so they are likely playing it safe with Anthony, who is averaging 20.3 points per game on the season.

Melo, 33, is shooting 42.4 percent from the field and 35.4 percent from three through his first 12 games with OKC. The Thunder enter tonight with a record of 5-7.
