The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed forward Richard Solomon and swingman Scotty Hopson to 10-day contracts, the team announced in a news release.
Both had been playing for the Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder’s G-League affiliate. The Thunder needed players, as they had been carrying just 12 players on the roster. The league minimum is 14.
Solomon, 26, is averaging 13.6 points and 8.6 rebounds for the Blue this season. He is 6-foot-11 and has twice spent time with the Thunder in training camp, both in 2014 and again before the start of this season. He went undrafted out of Cal in 2014.
Hopson is 6-7 and averaging 17.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in the G-League. Prior to his time with the Blue, the Tennessee product served stints with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks. He also spent seven seasons overseas.
