Oklahoma City Thunder swingman Paul George has a right calf contusion and will not play Thursday evening in Mexico City against the Brooklyn Nets.
Head coach Billy Donovan also announced that Jerami Grant, who has a left hip contusion, will sit out as well.
“We were hopeful and optimistic that they would be able to (play),” Donovan told reporters at shootaround. “But I think just based on the treatment and the conversations with our medical staff, just figure it’s better off to sit those guys tonight.”
George, in his first season with the Thunder, is putting up 20.7 points and 5.8 rebounds while shooting 41.6 percent from the field and 40.7 percent from three.
The Thunder enter tonight with a record of just 11-12.
