Jazz upgrade Gobert to questionable for Monday

Rudy Gobert suffered a bone bruise in his knee on Nov. 10.

Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert suffered a bone bruise in his left knee on Nov. 10 after Miami Heat guard Dion Waiters fell into his knee and was expected to miss four-to-six weeks.

Monday (12/4) will be four weeks since Gobert sustained the injury and the Jazz have upgraded him to questionable, a significant development in Gobert’s recovery.

Gobert, 25, is averaging 13.9 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks this season in 12 games, shooting a staggering 62.0 percent from the field. The 7-footer’s status being upgraded doesn’t mean he’s ready to play Monday, but it’s an indicator he’s very close to returning.

The Jazz enter their matchup against the Wizards with a record of 12-11, good for seventh place in the Western Conference standings.
