Veteran big man Jordan declined buyout offer from Knicks

The Knicks offered to buy out DeAndre Jordan, but he turned it down.

Not only did the Knicks ship Kristaps Porzingis to the Dallas Mavericks in February, they also offered to buy out the biggest piece they received in return.

New York offered a buyout to center DeAndre Jordan, according to Knicks coach David Fizdale, but the big man turned it down, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.

The 30-year-old Jordan averaged 10.9 points and 11.4 rebounds in 19 games for the Knicks, who finished with the worst record in the NBA at 17-65.
