As expected, All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins practiced with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G-League as he begins to prepare for the real thing with the Golden State Warriors.
Cousins is looking to return from Achilles’ surgery nearly a year ago when he was still a member of the New Orleans Pelicans. He has been going through drills and aiming to get back to action within the next month.
“It’s really tested me as a person, as a man, as an athlete. I’ve had a lot of dark days, a lot of good days,” he told reporters. “I’ve questioned myself a lot but I’ve found a way to overcome all those bad feelings so I see the light at the end of the tunnel.”
Cousins told reporters it was actually his idea to rehab in the G-League.

Cousins, 28, averaged 25.2 points and 12.9 rebounds in 48 games before the injury last season. He and the Warriors seem to be hoping he returns to NBA action within the next three-to-four weeks.
