Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry could return from his ankle injury Saturday at home against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has already ruled Curry out for Friday’s game versus the Charlotte Hornets. It will be the 11th game in a row Curry has missed.
“I doubt he’ll play tomorrow with a back-to-back,” Kerr told reporters Thursday. “I don’t think it would make much sense but I think he’s probably going to want to. But it’s more likely he plays Saturday. If all goes well, I expect him to play Saturday, but even if it goes well, I’m not expecting him to play tomorrow.”
Per ESPN, Curry participated in 5-on-0 drills during Thursday’s practice and did a 3-on-3 scrimmage.
On the season, Curry is averaging 26.3 points and 6.6 assists while shooting 47.3 percent from the floor and 38.1 percent from three.
