Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry is progressing well from a sprained ankle, according to the team, but is likely to miss Monday’s Christmas Day home game vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Curry’s ankle was examined Tuesday and is expected to be re-evaluated in a week. Curry suffered the injury Dec. 4 vs. the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Warriors said they are expecting “further clarity” on Curry’s ankle following the next check-up.
Curry is averaging 23.6 points and 6.6 assists for the Warriors, who entered Tuesday night with the second seed in the Golden State (24-6) has won five straight games without Curry and nine in a row overall.
