Warriors’ Livingston, referee Kirkland suspended

The NBA announced Monday afternoon that Golden State Warriors guard Shaun Livingston and referee Courtney Kirkland have been suspended for their confrontation on Sunday.

Livingston will be suspended one game without pay while Kirkland has been removed from the league’s officiating rotation for one week.

The incident began when Livingston approached Kirkland while protesting a non-call and the two bumped heads. Livingston was ejected, but upon league office review, it was determined that Kirkland moved toward Livingston and shared responsibility for the contact that occurred — per the NBA.
