The Washington Wizards have signed veteran point guard Ramon Sessions to a second 10-day contract.
Roster Update: We have signed Ramon Sessions to a second 10-day contract
— Washington Wizards (@WashWizards) March 5, 2018
Sessions signed the first 10-day deal after the All-Star break as Washington was adding depth at point guard with All-Star John Wall out after having knee surgery.
Tomas Statoransky has taken over as the starter, with Tim Frazier backing him up. Sessions didn’t play during his first 10-day deal, but the soon-to-be 32-year-old offers protection.
Washington’s roster now stands at 14, the NBA-mandated minimum. When the second 10-day deal with Sessions expires, the Wizards will nee to either sign the veteran for the rest of the season or sign another player to fill the 14th spot on the roster.
